Papers must have a verified publication date within the last 14 calendar days, including today (UTC). We use the earliest available online date, or an exact print date when no online date is recorded. Corrections, retractions, duplicate publications and records with unknown or future publication days are excluded.

Abstract assessments consider clinical relevance, study methods appropriate to the question, and useful contribution. Topic overlap, similar questions and repeated journals reduce priority to keep the list varied. These are reading-list rules, not a validated quality score.
